After the crazy snow storm earlier this year, we had a lot of hanging limbs stuck in our trees, two trees had fallen down and needed to be cut up for fire wood, and there were tons of downed large limbs. In addition to that, we wanted 3 very large trees removed that had branches overhanging our deck and house. One of the trees had a lot of shelf fungus. We live on a wooded lot and these trees were over 100 feet tall. I immediately liked Brandon when he came out to give me a bid. Being a young woman, I have found that contractors sometimes don't take me seriously. That wasn't the case with Brandon at all. He treated me with respect and answered all of my questions thoroughly. Even when my husband was there, Brandon talked to both of us equally and not only to my husband as other contractors sometimes do. Brandon also didn't try to talk me out of removing the trees like another contractor had. He treated my concerns as valid and gave his honest opinions on the potential tree removals. Brandon's bid ended up being less than half the bid I was quoted by another company. The other company also had a 2 month waiting list, but Brandon was scheduling about a week out. He also came out to give me the quote the same day we spoke on the phone. It was all very prompt service. Before I called Brandon, I had waited weeks just to get quotes from other tree companies. Brandon and his crew always showed up when they said they would. They were very polite and they cleaned up the work site every day before they left. They completed the work on time and within the original budget. I highly recommend Brandon and Karhu Tree Service to anyone who is looking to have tree work done. Karhu will definitely be my go-to the next time we need any tree work!

Showed up on Sunday to give me an estimate, half the price of the other 3 places I called. When they showed up to work (early I might add.) They were professional and started right away. We had 2 very large oak trees 80ft give or take and a learning doug fir. They fell them all in one day bucked the logs into 16" rounds and shot the ships in a single pile I could burn. All while dealing with 20 plus chickens and a herd of goats with a rather annoying Billy. Hands down the only tree guys I'll use remember when a dollar meant something well these guys make your dollar have value once again.

Brandon showed up on short notice and give me an estimate on the removal of 8 trees. Not only was his bid much less than others I received he gave me some advice on a couple of other trees that I had not even considered. We contracted with him to remove 5 of the 8 at this time. Brandon and his crew showed when on Friday, on time. and safely took down the 5 trees. They did so without causing any other property damage and at the end of the job they all shook my hand and thanked me for the work. We will for sure be having them back to remove the other 3 trees, ASAP.

We had a very large oak tree that began splitting in the truck. We contacted four arborists in the area. We needed to determine if the tree could just be trimmed back and saved or if it needed to come down. It needed to come down. The tree was very close to our home, carport and a shed. We chose Brandon at Karhu Tree Service to remove the tree. Brandon performed the removal of the tree by using ropes and climbing the tree. We preferred this to using a crane because it was less invasive on our property plus it saved us the cost of a crane. Brandon spent time looking at the project and explaining what was going on with the tree. He supplied a written bid and the work was scheduled. He meet the schedule we agreed on. The work was completed, the area was cleaned up. Brandon and his crew worked like a fine tuned vehicle. I recommend Karhu Tree Service and will contact him if needed again.

We had a good time watching this guy climbing in our trees , these guys are experienced. They worked until they were done good 12 hours, I think I will have them come back out and do some more work, we have to give them a big thank you for making it safe for my family. He also uses a laser pointer to identify the branches he's going to cut, nice touch.
